How to Build Your Own Frame Online

  1. Pick a start, a size and a direction. Choose the certificate or photo frame, the size range your piece fits, and horizontal or vertical. The price shown is for that size range.
  2. Design it. Choose the moulding, top mat and inner accent, the glass, and an optional engraved plate. Upload a photo or a scan to see your piece in the frame.
  3. Enter your exact size and order. After you add the frame to your cart, type your piece's exact width and height. Most frames ship within 5–7 business days.

Measure the piece itself, not an old frame. Measure edge to edge in inches, width first, then height. For a certificate or other document, also measure the printed area: from where the printing starts to where it ends, side to side and top to bottom. On this page, pick the size range your piece fits. After you add the frame to your cart, you type the exact measurements.
Certificate and document frames come in 12 size ranges, from up to 8 x 6 inches to up to 24 x 20 inches. Photo frames come in two: up to 7 x 5 and up to 10 x 8 inches. Any frame can be horizontal or vertical. These are custom size frames: we build each one to the exact measurements you enter, so a certificate that measures 8 5/8 x 11 1/8 inches gets a frame made for 8 5/8 x 11 1/8. If your piece is bigger than the largest range, call us at 800-477-9005 before you order.
Every frame is made to order by hand. Most frames ship within 5 to 7 business days. Delivery after that depends on the address and the shipping speed you choose at checkout, where faster options are available. We ship to APO/FPO addresses and internationally.
Yes. Design a frame and add it to your cart, then design the next one. Each frame can have its own size, moulding and mat. For a larger order of matching frames, for a team, an office or an event, request a quote and our team will price it for you.
No. You keep your original. Your frame arrives with a removable back, step-by-step instructions and the Level-Lock® hanging system, so you can put your piece in and hang it straight at home. Uploading a photo or scan is optional; it lets you see your piece in the frame before you order.
You choose the moulding, the top mat and inner accent, the glass, and an optional engraved plate (up to three lines of 30 characters). Standard glass, which blocks 45% of UV light, is included. Conservation UV glass and UV glass with reflection control cost extra. The price updates with every choice, so you see the total before you add the frame to your cart.
